Mobility Event Viewer Window

When you open the Mobility Event Viewer, it displays the Mobility event log file. This is a binary file of event messages that are logged to the nmevent.nel file in the Windows folder.

You can control what is recorded in the log file and what is displayed in the window: the settings for the events you log and the events you view do not have to be the same. The following information is available for each event:

Event information	Description
Source	The Mobility component that generated the event.
Type	Mobility logs event types of varying degrees of severity.
Date	The date of the event.
Time	The time of the event. By default, the most recent event is listed first, but you can configure the Event Viewer to list events with the oldest event first.
Data	This is the event message.

To display the complete text of a long message, select the message in the upper part of the Event Viewer display. The entire message appears in the lower part of the window.
