Customizing the Event Viewer Window

You can customize the type of information displayed in the Event Viewer window and the order in which it is presented.

To arrange Event Viewer columns

1.	On the View menu, click Columns.

2.	To remove a column from the Event Viewer display, select it in the Show these columns box and then click the right arrow to move it to the Available fields box.

3.	To rearrange the order of columns in the Event Viewer window, select the item you want to move in the Show these columns box and use the up and down arrows to move it to the position you want.

4.	To automatically size the column to fit the information it contains, double-click the boundary just to the right of the column heading.

To split the Event Viewer window

1.	When you highlight an event in the Event Viewer, the event description is displayed at the bottom of the dialog box. On the View menu, click Split. The cursor highlights the separation between the top and bottom areas.

2.	Adjust the size of the two windows. You can also make a window size change without using the Split command.

To change the Event Viewer font

1.	On the View menu, click Font.

2.	Select the font you want to use. You can change the font style, size, and language script.

To refresh the Event Viewer display

1.	On the View menu, click Auto Refresh Recent Events (if it is not already selected) to automatically refresh the display when new events are logged.

2.	When Auto refresh is enabled, you can configure the number of events displayed in the Event Viewer window. On the View menu, click Filter/Number of Events and modify the setting for Maximum number of events to show.

Note

•	Auto refresh is enabled by default, but it only displays the most recent NetMotion Mobility events. To display a snapshot of the entire event log file, disable auto refresh on the View menu. When you want to update the display with new events that have been logged, click Refresh on the View menu.
