Deciding What to Display

You can customize which events are displayed by component or by event type. You can also sort events. If an event type is included in the log file, you can view it any time by selecting it. You cannot display an event type that is not recorded in the log file.

To filter displayed events

1.	On the View menu, click Filter/Number of Events.

2.	By default, all the check boxes in the Event sources list are selected, and the Event Viewer displays events from all NetMotion Mobility components.

If you do not want to display events generated by a particular component, clear the check box next to that component.

To filter by event severity

1.	On the View menu, click Filter.

2.	In the Event type area on the right, select the check box next to each event type that you want to include in the Event Viewer display. To exclude an event type from the Event Viewer display, clear the check box next to it.

To sort events

•	On the View menu, click Sort by Newest or Sort by Oldest. This sorts the events by their date and time of creation. The Event Viewer does not support sorting by any other data type.
