The Personnel Management Bureau (PMB) is responsible for administering the recruitment and hiring process of departmental personnel. These functions include conducting background investigations, scheduling psychological, medical and polygraph examinations. In addition to hiring, the Bureau also manages and coordinates a vast number of programs such as:

  • Police reserve
  • Military reintegration
  • Employee assistance
  • Citizen volunteer programs

The Bureau also serves as the departmental liaison for the American Disability Act (ADA).

PMB personnel provide support to survivors of deceased employees, coordinate all Health and Welfare Meetings and disseminate timely information concerning benefits including retirement activities.

PMB's administrative responsibilities are inclusive of departmental payroll, processing departmental Advise of Personnel Actions (APA) and Personnel Change Documents (PCD), maintaining and distributing the Table of Organization (TO), as well as, coordinating the promotional process for all sworn positions.
