Residential Construction Mitigation Program
The Energy Facilities and Transportation Division is currently not accepting applications for our various programs, except for the Weatherization Assistance Program (WAP). This process will allow us to address the current waitlist. As additional funding become available, we will update our website accordingly.
The Residential Construction Mitigation Program provides retrofit measures rather than rehabilitative work to structures, which serves to protect homes against wind drive forces such as hurricanes. Services include re-roofing, load path reinforcement and opening (windows/shutters) protection.
Applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Priority will be given to low-moderate income households, seniors and households with children.
The program is funded by Florida Division of Emergency Management grants. There are no costs for the program.
