Gasoline Price Disclosure Laws
If there is a price difference due to a condition of sale (i.e. full service or self service; cash or credit card price), a supplemental sign must be displayed on top of the fuel-dispensing device in numerals not less than 3 inches in height, and 1/2-inch in width in contrasting colors.
Motorboat fueling establishments are required to post signs on pumps stating the price per gallon in letters and numerals at least 6 inches in height and 3/4 inches in width.
The price sign must be displayed on the premises so it is clearly visible and legible to drivers of approaching motor vehicles on at least one street, avenue, road or highway abutting one of the entrances to the gas station.
Violations may result in a fine of up to $200 and can be doubled with evidence of repeat violations.
