Plumbing Permits
This page lists the required items, forms and standard details for all plumbing-related projects. Note there is an additional form required for Owner-Builder permits.

What do I need to obtain a plumbing permit?
- A completed Building Permit Application (yellow form) is required. Select the permit type and the plumbing category on the form. If this is a sub-permit, include the master permit number on the application.
- A Plumbing Fee Sheet must be submitted as part of a permit application. Fee sheets break down the cost of permit by category.
- If a category indicates "needs processing," then plans must be submitted for plan review.
The following requirements are only for the replacement of a sanitary line:
- A completed Building Permit Application (yellow form) is required, select the permit type and the plumbing category 25 on the form.
- A Plumbing Fee Sheet must be completed and submitted as part of a permit application. Fee sheets break down the cost of permit by category.
- As a condition for obtaining this permit, you must agree to follow the Sanitary Line Replacement standard slab cut repair detail provided by Miami-Dade County.
- Additionally, a Special Inspector Form will be required for the trench backfill and concrete-slab repair.
This web application allows qualified contractors to submit applications, pay fees and print permit cards for subsidiary and stand-alone permits for electrical, mechanical, plumbing, roofing and gas trades. Customers no longer need to come in person to the Permitting and Inspection Center to apply and receive these types of permits. Review the E-permitting guidelines.
