Introduction to the Mobility Client > NetMotion Mobility Client Properties Dialog Box Reference > Mobility Configuration, User Certificates Tab

Mobility Configuration, User Certificates Tab

The options on this tab only apply when the Mobility client is using the EAP-TLS method to authenticate to a RADIUS server. In addition, they can only be modified if you have administrative privileges on the Mobility client device.

When Allow user certificates is selected and the RADIUS server requires credentials, you are prompted for a smart card or personal user certificate at logon. If this option is cleared and the RADIUS server requires credentials, the logon fails.
When Smart Card is selected, the Mobility client displays a logon dialog box that prompts you to insert a smart card in the card reader. This is the default when the client is using EAP-TLS for user authentication. This option is only available when Allow user certificates is selected.
When Personal User Certificate is selected, the Mobility client displays a logon dialog box that prompts you to select a personal user certificate from the certificate store on the mobile device. This option is only available when Allow user certificates is selected and after you have logged on to the desktop.
