Mobility Diagnostics

A Mobility client diagnostics report includes information about applied policies, configuration settings, and network statistics, which may be helpful in troubleshooting. In attempting to resolve a client problem, your help desk or NetMotion Mobility Technical Support may ask you to generate a report and send the information for analysis.

Use the following settings to configure a Mobility client diagnostic report:

Setting	Description
Include diagnostics information	When selected, the diagnostics report includes information about applied policies, configuration settings, and network statistics, which may be helpful in troubleshooting.
Include event log	When selected, the contents of the Mobility event log are appended to the report.
Include system information	When selected, a standard Windows System Information File is included in the report archive.
Include connectivity test	When selected, the Mobility client attempts to ping each internal and external IP address of each server in the server pool, and appends the results to the report. This may help determine whether there is a network path to each server. The connectivity test may take up to 15 seconds per IP address to complete. It cannot run when the client is disconnected from the Mobility server.
Open report	When selected, the Mobility client generates the report and automatically opens the archive.

Use the following to manage reports:

Button	Description
Create Report	When you click Create Report, the Mobility client generates a diagnostics report and writes it to a file named Mobility_diagnostics_<yyyyMMddHHmmss>.zip. If the Open report check box is selected, the archive opens automatically.
Enable/Disable debug events	When this option is enabled, the Mobility client configures the event log to record debug events. You should disable these events unless you are troubleshooting—logging these messages has a significant impact on computer performance.
Clear Event Log	Clears the contents of the Mobility event log.
