Logging On

In normal operation, the Mobility client connects to a Mobility server after logon. For example, you may need to connect manually after being disconnected by the Mobility server, or after logging off of Windows.

In the Windows Logon Dialog Box

You are prompted to enter a user name and password, and the domain in which those credentials are valid:

Button	Description
OK	After you enter your password, click OK to start Mobility and use the mobile VPN.
Skip	If you skip Mobility, one of the following will happen, depending on how Mobility has been configured by the system administrator: • You will have network communication (assuming your credentials are valid), but no mobile VPN. • You are disconnected and must reauthenticate to the Mobility server before any network communication is reestablished.
Cancel	Cancels the Mobility logon and returns you to the standard Windows logon prompt.

In the Mobility Logon Dialog Box

A combination of the following options are displayed. Some appear only if your system administrator has configured them to appear, or during your first logon. In addition, you may be able to specify which credentials (user and domain names) to present here; see Specifying Default Credentials for Mobility Logon.

Button	Description
OK	After you enter your password, click OK to start Mobility and use the mobile VPN.
Cancel	Cancels the Mobility logon procedure and returns you to the standard Windows logon prompt. To log on with Mobility enabled, you must provide credentials that are valid for authentication to the Mobility server.
Disconnect	When you disconnect Mobility, you have no mobile VPN, but you do local network communication; in addition, reconnecting does not require reauthenticating. See Disconnecting Mobility for more information.
